I cannot recommend Dr. Brandon Lampe and The Foot & Ankle Center of Dallas more highly! After over a year and a half of constant misery from a peroneal brevis split tear, two orthopedic surgeons insisted I needed surgery—one even completely missed the tear on my initial MRI. I was terrified of going under the knife and had already tried some physical therapy without success. Dr. Lampe changed everything. He clearly and compassionately explained that surgery wasn’t necessary. Instead, he recommended a combination of shockwave therapy and targeted physical therapy with his outstanding in-house PT, Dustin Blankenship of NEO Physical Therapy. When I asked, “So you’re telling me if I do nothing, in five years this won’t be worse?” he replied, “Yes, but don’t stay in pain—let’s fix this now.” That honest, reassuring conversation gave me the confidence I needed to commit to his plan. Three months after completing treatment, the pain is truly behind me—as long as I maintain the strength we’ve built. I’ve avoided surgery entirely, saved over $10,000 (not counting rehab costs), and escaped the “surgery-first” treadmill so many elite orthopedic practices push. Dr. Lampe’s expertise, bedside manner, and focus on noninvasive options first made all the difference. The whole team, including Dustin, is fabulous—professional, thorough, and genuinely caring. If you’re dealing with foot or ankle issues and want a doctor who listens, explains everything clearly, and prioritizes getting you better without unnecessary procedures, go see Dr. Lampe at The Foot & Ankle Center of Dallas in Mesquite. After careful consideration of who I would choose to perform corrective surgery on my foot, I chose Dr Brandon Lampe! I already had plans to let another surgeon do this complicated surgery, but then I read the reviews after meeting them, knew something was just not right. I have type 1 diabetes (54) years and cannot make mistakes! When I first met Dr Lampe, all my fears subsided, he answered all my questions up front and has been fantastic at procedure, follow thru, keeping me informed about what to expect and keeping it real! I’m 2 weeks out , have seen him twice with another visit in 4 days. He is a great communicator, nerve stabilizer, down to earth excellent surgeon!
